Wade Found
SAR teams found Wade today. Unfortunately, he didn't make it. Many already know, but Julie and Kathryn are still driving to Lone Pine from LA and don't know yet. Please don't call or text them, as we want to wait for them to arrive to tell them.
Michelle, Thank you so much for keeping us all up to date regarding Wade. So sorry about the outcome. I had the pleasure on many occassions to hike with him and have some grand conversations. He was a wonderful man and hiking friend. He will be missed. My thoughts are with you all. Karen Wiggins
I am truly saddened to hear the news. If there is anything I can do or set up for the family's return home please let me know - it is no trouble at all. Angel Ryan 860-908-6635
Many of us here in Lone Pine, some employed by the agencies involved in the situation and some just following the unfolding of the search efforts, would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Kenneth Wade. May our hearts and prayers be with you all. RM,CP,JD,WS,JRB,SB .....
Michelle, I am so very sorry. My heart goes out to you and Jeanne. Wishing I could be there to hold and hug everyone, especially when Julie & Kathryn arrive... Paul & Mary know. I called them when I saw the PR. We decided it was best to let Julie tell Gerrit & kids rather than any of us interceding in any way. Although Gerrit may have read the blog on his own by now... I am sure you are all feeling shocked right now. I, like you, really believed he could make it through... We are so sorry for you, Jeanne, and the rest of the family - especially the grandkids too. We will be checking in on you all in the coming weeks. Love Tanya & Aaron
I am so very sad to hear the news of Wade. I am lucky I knew him. During all those teenage years kicking around the Brunette household, Wade was always a friend, supporter and dad-away-from-home. He was a really good man and I will remember him fondly. Please let me know if there's anything I can do here to make your return home easier. Really. 360-362-2550. My thoughts and love are with you. Marie Vila
I am so sorry to hear this news. I spent much of my childhood at the Brunette's. I went sailing and hiking and did so many cool things I would not have had the chance to do without them. He was a very, vewy kind man. Michelle, you especially are in my thoughts and prayers. Give me a call if you want to talk -- 530-848-8060. Cathy Niskanen Fletter
Thank you for all of your kind words and comfort. I will miss him deeply. He was without question a man of character and a father worth emulating. Mom, Kathryn, Michelle and Julie, I am praying for you and look forward to being with you upon your return to Seattle.
Dear Brunette Family, I have followed your journey via the Internet. Am so sorry that this turned out as it did. Please Jeanne, take my love and prayers into your heart and share them with the family. I am here to help in any way I can when you get back to Hansville. Sincerely, Judy Roupe
My sincerest sympathies to the family. You are all in my prayers as you grieve for Wade.
